Problem:
Got the VXDIAG VCX SE Benz and 2025.03 xentry software. Failed to start EPC software from VMware Player. Already followed this guide to enable virtualization in BIOS settings. Still no luck.
Tried to repair VMware 12 player, but the system says it doesn’t have sufficient privileges to install system services.
Solution:
Delete VMware Player and install it again.
Then start EPC from VMware.
Now that we’ve changed the engine oil on a Volvo XC70 D40, let’s find out how to reset the service interval using VIDA software (i.e VXDIAG VCX SE and VIDA 2014D)!

3. Software and Driver Support
The VXDIAG VCX FD offers a more flexible software ecosystem, with the ability to add licenses for additional brands and comprehensive support for GM and Ford diagnostics. The Eucleia T6 Pro’s software is reliable but less extensible due to its lack of support for certain brand licenses.
4. Connectivity Options
Both devices offer robust connectivity options, including USB and WiFi. The VXDIAG VCX FD’s addition of DoNet and Type-C connectivity gives it a slight advantage for remote diagnostics and faster data transfer, while the T6 Pro’s Bluetooth and RJ45 options cater to users who prefer alternative connection methods.
6. User Experience
The VXDIAG VCX FD has a slight edge in user experience due to its comprehensive customer support and detailed documentation, but the Eucleia T6 Pro’s faster WiFi performance and simpler driver installation make it a strong contender for ease of use.
Which
Tool Should You Choose?
Choose
the Eucleia T6 Pro if
you operate a
multi-brand repair shop or need a versatile tool with immediate support for a
wide range of vehicles, including GM, VAG, Ford, Mazda, Chrysler, Jeep, and PSA.
Its support for PDU and LIN protocols makes it ideal for specialized
diagnostics, and its fast WiFi performance is a bonus for speed-sensitive
tasks.
Choose
the VXDIAG
VCX FD if
your primary
focus is on GM and Ford/Mazda vehicles, or if you value the ability to add
licenses for other brands in the future. Its multi-channel CAN FD support,
lifetime updates, and robust customer support make it a cost-effective choice
for long-term use, especially for GM-specific diagnostics and programming.
Conclusion
Both the Eucleia T6 Pro and the VXDIAG VCX FD are
powerful J2534 pass-through diagnostic tools with advanced features tailored to
modern automotive diagnostics. The T6 Pro excels in broad vehicle coverage and
multi-protocol support, making it ideal for diverse repair environments. The
VXDIAG VCX FD, on the other hand, is a specialized powerhouse for GM and
Ford/Mazda diagnostics, with the flexibility to expand to other brands. Your
choice will depend on your specific diagnostic needs, budget, and preference for
software flexibility. By understanding the strengths and limitations of each
tool, you can select the one that best aligns with your automotive repair
goals.
Problem:
VXDIAG VCX SE Benz xentry 2025.03 gave an error (2.27)- 7.780. I was told to run 870 fix patch on the desktop. Double-clicking the patch does not respond. Any idea?
Solution:
The 870 error can be solved by the 870 patch.
It is normal if 870 patch has no response after double-clicking the 870 patch on the desktop.
Just double-click the 870 patch on the desktop.
Then run Xentry software again. It should work without problem.
Review: Using VXDiag VCX SE PSA and DiagBox via Vmware with Peugeot 5008.
The tool is tested via Diagbox in a VMWare virtual machine, providing insights into its performance, compatibility, and ease of use.
The process begins with launching DiagBox 9.129 (VMware version) in a virtual environment. After connecting the cable, the tool prompts the user to select the connection method—choosing “Box” establishes the link. The system initially defaults to Citroën, but switching to Peugeot allows for proper communication with the vehicle.
The tool successfully reads the VIN number, confirming a stable connection.
The tool scans the vehicle’s modules, identifying multiple control units.
Diagnostic Performance
Initially, the tool fails to locate the ECU but later identifies it during a full system scan.
Error Reading: The tool requires multiple ignition cycles (turning the key on/off) to fully read error codes and parameters. Checking error codes and live data for engine, transmission, and other systems.
User Interface: The updated DiagBox interface includes visual aids, making it more user-friendly for beginners.
The diagbox is optimized for Peugeot, Citroën, and DS vehicles, offering more accurate diagnostics than generic tools like LAUNCH or VCDS.
Weaknesses:
Slow Operation: The diagnostic process is time-consuming, requiring repeated ignition cycles.
Limited Advanced Functions: While suitable for basic diagnostics, the tool may not be ideal for advanced coding or programming tasks.
Conclusion
The VXDiag and DiagBox tool proves to be a reliable option for diagnosing Peugeot, Citroën, and DS vehicles, offering better accuracy than generic scanners. However, its slow operation and limited advanced features may deter professionals needing faster, more comprehensive solutions.
