VXDIAG JLR SDD Odometer Correction Not Working Solution
Customer problem:
Trying to correct odometer on a Land rover L319 using VXDIAG
VCX SE JLR and SDD v163 software. SDD asks for a seed code and
password.
Got the seed access code and password calculated via CCF Editor
tool. Still not working. Any clue?
Solution:
SDD through a download link or on hard drive is an offline version.
To correct mileage for Jaguar Land rover vehicles, you need SDD online version (with online subscription. )
Can I Use VXDIAG VCX SE with Renault ADT Software?
Question:
Will VXDIAG VCX SE/VCX NANO Renault software diagnose new Megane 5 Electric 2022 car?
Answer:
No, for this model you need Renault ADT software. If use CLIP software, software will throw error “the vehicle is not subject to diagnosis with the CLIP device, please switch to the ADT device”.
Renault Group launched the Alliance Diagnosis Tool (ADT) to its dealer network worldwide. ADT is the next generation of vehicle diagnosis and repair tool for car models introduced after 2020.
VXDIAG VCX NANO doesn’t work via doip, it cannot be used as passthru with Alliance diagnostic tool RENAULT program.
VXDIAG VCX SE does work via DoIP, but some users tested cannot use the physical token for ADT.
So for newer Renault with SGW security gateway, better use original VCI or Autel/Launch X431 scanners (still need to bypass gateway).
VXDIAG Cannot Connect with Ford Fiesta 2022?
Problem:
One of our customer reported that his vxdiag vcx nano Ford IDS scanner failed to connect to a Ford fiesta 1.0 petrol. 2022.
Solution:
For Fiesta 2022, you need to use the Ford FDRS (Ford Diagnostic and Repair System) software for this vehicle as the error picture indicated.

NOTE:
VCX NANO and VCX SE do not support CAN FD protocol, if your new Ford has CAN FD protocol, you need VXDIAG VCX FD for Ford.

Wait until installation is completed.
FDRS has always worked without FDRS driver. You can also use vxdiag vcx nano/vxdiag vcx se for Ford FDRS to program modules online. Just select VXDIAG J2534.
With the FDRS driver, it is faster.

FORScan - I used this app to test the connection to the car. you have to change the settings in the app to this device before it will work. ( this is how i knew it did talk to the car) but FORscan will not program the blank TCM
In VX Manager you will need to go to the Diagnostic tab at the top and install the Ford IDS drivers.
I had the most trouble getting this program to install - VCI_Software_1.0.1.18 but it was because i needed Java installed which is not on windows 10 systems. downloaded and installed Java runtime. after i did get this program to install, i uninstalled and reinstalled the Ford IDS drivers for the device. (this is when it started to work for me in IDS). It does work with ford ids, but it took a while to figure it out.
I used Ford IDS 130.06 to program a new TCM.
2 day IDS/FDRS Software License = 150.00 per license which i bought before i had it working so i had 2 days to get it figured out. Took me a long time to get it to work but i think it was because i could not get the VCI_Software installed. Ford IDS program at motorcraftservice. com."
