VXDIAG VCX SE Firmware tool Old After VX Manager 1.8.7?
Problem:
I got thevxdiag vcx se benz with full brands. I need help from your technician with my Xentry vci. Vx Manager wanted to update to new software ver: 1.8.7.0415! which I approved. After that, I don't get any contact with Vci or with Doip Switch. It says the firmware is too old! It also needs new firmware. The vcx se works fine before updating the vx manager. Can you help me with this?

Here is the working solution after we checked via Teamviewer.
Your VCI and DoIP firmware is the latest version, and doesn't need an update.
Disconnectvcx se benzand reconnect again.
If not working, do a vcx se firmware reset.
Disconnect vcx se from laptop, press FN reset button, then connect to OBD, release FN button after 20 seconds, then connect to PC via USB or WLAN.
What J2534 device should I choose for MB Xentry Passthru?
VXDIAG VCX SE Benz(as well as other vcx se interfaces) or Tactrix OpenPort 2.0 which is a better J2534 device for Mercedes Benz Xentry Passthru software?
Pros:

- useful for ECUs with CAN capability.
- For normal troubleshooting and diagnosis, though, it rocks.
Cons:
- you won't be able to access K-Line ECU's that are widely used in old models (W221, 220, 203, 211, 210)
- if you want to work with vediamo you can't use vediamo 5 (4 can't use smrd files) because vediamo 5 doesn't support Passthru so your "stuck" with DTS Monaco
- You'd better replace R1 by 47k for better operation and to avoid overheating.
- You are risking of getting failed and then potentially bricking your ecu if need to do ECU SW updates.
How to use VXDIAG VCX SE as PCMFlash Passthru?

Connect vcx se with laptop via USB
Run VX Manager, Go to Diagnostic Tab- Applications
Delete brand driver in vx manager
For example, if need to use vcx se Benz as MB Xentry Passthru for both diagnostic and coding, delete Benz C6 driver. If you want to use Vxdiag passthru with Mercedes you need to buy a full Mercedes license. Vxdiag passthru license is not a general j2534 license for all brands.

Reinstall vxdiag driver again if need to carry out diagnosis function.
